CINZIA FORTE

Cinzia Forte is an independent researcher working on gender studies in the interdisciplinary field of media studies and translation studies, studying how the representation of gender stereotypes in popular media culture influences audience reception and what is its impact on the construction of gender identities. More specifically, the study addresses the role of audiovisual translation (AVT) in the reproduction of stereotypes in mainstream TV series. Cinzia has collaborated and still collaborates with the Department of Sociology of Roma Tre and the Netherlands Research School of Gender Studies in Utrecht. Currently, Cinzia is a university lecturer at La Sapienza University and teaching coordinator at Torvergata University.

ARIANNA FORTE

Arianna Forte is an independent art curator , creative producer and organizer of artistic projects of social innovation, based in Rome. She is moving freely between official cultural institutions, non profit organizations, squat and independent spaces. She has been part of international digital arts events teams such as in the production of transmediale-festival for art and digital culture in Berlin and as cultural manager of the research center HER Sheloves Data, founded by Oriana Persico and Salvatore Iaconesi. Currently, she curates the three-year project of 1M Sotto la Metro, a temporary exhibition of interactive media art that took place in the metro stations of Rome. Her research concerns the ways in which artistic practices deal with technologies and sciences and create new opportunities for social imagination and activism. At the moment, she is focused on how technological infrastructures are linked to gender issues, biases and taboos related to femininity and is the founder of the Erinni association.

DANIELA COTIMBO

Daniela Cotimbo is an art historian and curator based in Rome. Her research is focused on the present issues investigated through different expressive media, in particular new technologies. She recently founded and curated the Re:Humanism Art Prize dedicated to the relationship between Art and Artificial Intelligence, then it became a cultural association of which she is president. Daniela curated exhibitions in many different galleries, museums and festivals, including the MAXXI - Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, AlbumArte, Colli Independent, Operativa Arte Contemporanea and Romaeuropa Festival. She writes to a number of contemporary art reviews, such as Inside Art, Flash Art, NERO and Arte e Critica and curated a series of panels and speeches for different institutions including Cubo Unipol (Bologna), Manifattura Tabacchi (Florence), Maker art (Roma), Brera Academy of fine arts (Milan), Ca’ Foscari University (Venice), John Cabot University (Rome). From 2021 she is co-founder at Erinni.
